You want biking in Hinterglemm? Then you definitely have to try the Buchegg trail. The trail was built 2012 and is the new route at the last section of the Hacklberg or Bergstadl Trail.
It starts right at the middle station of the Westgipfel lift. This relatively simple and flowy trail winds through idyllic meadows and makes use of the natural topography of the slope on a very varied way. Due to many small tables, turns and waves this trail makes really fun.
The Buchegg Trail is designed for downhillers, freeriders, soul riders as well as cross-country bikers. From the little Buchegg-Alm the route becomes steeper, but still easy to handle for trained mountainbikers.
When you come to Saalbach Hinterglemm and ride the Buchegg Trail, you definitely have to visit one of the huts along the way. In case of the Buchegg trail there are three possibilities along the way. Hacklberg Alm, Bergstadl and Gerstreit Alm. Those locations have the right refreshment and snack for you in order to gain some power for the next run.
